Other reasons why you might want to fight a foreclosure or even if you are not in foreclosure, you might find your lender might not be able to enforce the note...even if they wanted to!  These may include

Your loan may be paid off  (all or in part) by some some third party.
The lender failed to give you the required Truth in Lending or other disclosures.
The lender gave you the disclosures but they don't adhere to federal guidelines.
"Red Flags" were ignored by the lender on your loan application.
The lender lost your note.
Your lender is just servicing the loan and under securitization, the true holder is unclear.
Your note was sold more than once to more than one party.
